27 hours after getting my fill....

I finally tried to eat something 27 hours after getting my fill. My doctor warned me not to listen to my hunger but to my small pouch and when it was full. So during grocery shopping at Albertsons I grabbed some elbow macaroni salad. Since it is on the soft foods list. Well the interesting part is I could only eat 2 bites and then I was full.... FULL!! It was so weird. Of course my stomach was still growling because the food hadn't hit bottom yet. But, full after just 2 bites of eating. I never realized it would be like that.
So after an hour I was hungry again so I grabbed the salad again and ate another 2 bites. Again, I was full..... Actually I felt stuffed, like if the food was sitting in my throat waiting to go down. It is really odd. I think that this will take a bit of time to adjust and will be a major adjustment. But, hey those 4 bites of food so far today were wonderful. Cause though it had been 27 hours since my fill it had been 40 hours since I had eaten at all.
So I will be trying Fage Greek Yogurt. I bought one with strawberries and one with blueberries. I have never had it before so I am hoping that it will taste good. It is high in protein which is what my body needs so I am giving it a shot! I also bought fresh strawberries, fresh coconut and fiji apples to make a little salad for me for dinner, instead of the spaghetti and meat sauce that the family will be eating tonight for dinner.
You know it is weird...... I grew up hearing "This is not a restaurant, you will eat what I make" but now I have to make 2 different meals because there are some foods that I just can not eat. I feel bad not being able to eat with my family but atleast I know what they are eating is good for them, and what I am eating is good for me. I just have to eat what my body needs and so do they. I truly am looking at food differently then I use to. I hope that as my daughter grows she will learn from me and by watching me, that food is not to indulge in (though every now and again in fine). Food is to give your body fuel, to feed your brain, bones and muscles. I am glad to know that I will be able to teach her what I am just now learning.....

   Well until next time...
