Today we had our Thanksgiving dinner and I am so proud of myself for not over eating or stuffing myself. I worked all day long to make the meal and was so proud of myself. I ate 1/2 a deviled egg, 1 tblsp corn bread stuffing, 2 broccoli spear chunks with cheese sauce and 2 bites of turkey. I felt quite satisfied and not like busting a gut. An, hour later I ate 3 bites of apple pie and that was it. I am just so proud of myself. Having the lap band has really made me remember that food is for nourishment not to stuff yourself. And, Thanksgiving is not about eating until you are stuffed or sick but to be Thankful for what you have. And, the ability to be able to cook a meal to share with family and friends. I just had to share that I was proud of myself. 70lbs down and a whole new look at life and food.
